Council approves new financial system for hospital

The Eureka Springs Hospital Commission will get to proceed with purchasing a new financial and operating system that will help them better meet required standards. At its regular meeting Monday, May 8, at The Auditorium, the Eureka Springs City Council approved a resolution that will allow the hospital commission to waive the standard bidding process and make a deal with a Kansas City-based company.

Teen dies in fall from bluff

Eureka Springs Times-Echo An 18-year-old Bentonville High School senior died in a fall from a bluff Saturday, May 6, at the North Dam Site near Eureka Springs. According to Carroll County Sheriff Daniel Klatt, the sheriff’s office was notified at 7:36 p.m.

Feast With the Beasts

Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge hosted a 31st anniversary celebration on Saturday, April 29, but the anniversary wasn’t the only cause for celebration. Turpentine Creek president and founder Tanya Smith and her husband, Scott — the company’s vice president — were joined by more than 100 guests at the “Feast With the Beasts” event.
