Planning revokes CUP

Eureka Springs Times-Echo The Eureka Springs Planning Commission revoked a Conditional Use Permit of a tourist lodging location, saying the property had multiple violations. The commission voted 3-2 at its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 11, to revoke the permit at 17 Breezy Point owned by Cecilia Athey.

MHBA Scholarship Winners

Mercy Hospital Berryville Auxiliary announces the recipients of its 2023 High School Scholarships, Meredith Loudermilk and Kaylee McCarty. Meredith Loudermilk (left) attends Eureka Springs High School and plans to attend Missouri Southern State University majoring in psychology. She is the daughter of Dr. Jon and Laura Loudermilk. Kaylee McCarty (right) attends Berryville High School and plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas this fall, majoring in microbiology. She is the daughter of Terry and Jennifer McCarty.

Employee of the Month

Central Scheduler Shannon Magee is Eureka Springs Hospital’s Employee of the Month for March 2023. Shannon has worked at the hospital in different departments over the years and said she loves to see the passion from all her coworkers. “The people who are here are here because they choose to be and they like what they’re doing for the community,” Shannon said. In her free time, Shannon enjoys riding horses and gardening.
