Wind project still creating a stir

A “wind farm” planned for eastern Carroll County continued to be a topic of discussion at the county quorum court’s regular meeting on Tuesday, July 18. Protesters carrying signs expressing opposition to Scout Clean Energy’s planned “Nimbus Project” gathered outside the Eastern District Courthouse in Berryville before the meeting and several residents addressed the issue during public comments.

Employee of the Month

Central Supply Manager Leslie Waltz is Eureka Springs Hospital’s Employee of the Month for June 2023. Leslie has worked in healthcare for 30 years, mostly in the pharmacy. She and her musician husband wanted to move to Eureka Springs, so she joined the hospital team in central supply. “I needed a change of pace, but I wanted to stay in healthcare,” Leslie said. “Eureka Springs has a very unique vibe and I’ve loved it for many years.”
