Eureka Springs High School has two state finalists for the Arts Across Arkansas competition. On March 30, these two students have the opportunity to win $250 to $1,000. In the literary arts category, the first four engaging chapters of Laynee DeJarnette’s story titled “Red Coat” is in the running and in the photography category, Chasia Cooper’s image titled “Beyond the Lines,” pictured above ‚ has been chosen as a finalist.

Main Street Eureka Springs hosted a hands-on wood window repair workshop for its Preservation Bootcamp initiative on Saturday and Sunday, March 2-3. Participants learned to repair historic wood windows while repairing the windows of the Gravel Bar at the Wanderoo Lodge. Nationally known historic preservation consultant Bob Yapp of Preservation Resources Inc. in Hannibal, Mo., instructed the workshop.
