Once again area scouts, along with some help from other community minded groups, are gathering and getting ready for this years “Scouting for Food” drive. Every year the local Scouts help their community in a big way, and also learn firsthand about the values of giving, sharing and community spirit.
Starting on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 and continuing that following week, area scouts will be once again placing the bags on your doorknobs. This year we will be using yellow bags donated by the city, so don’t be confused by the color, as I know the white bags have been a staple on your doorknob for almost 40 years!
On the following Saturday, November 9th they will be coming by to collect your donated food. Please have your bags with your donations of canned goods out on your front porch by 9am and the scouts will take your donated canned goods to our local food bank, the Flint St. Fellowship, located just off Main St. by the Grand Central Hotel. All food collected go directly to the needy of Eureka Springs. Also keep in mind that if you get missed, you can always take your donations to Hart’s or SunFest.
Thank you for your generosity as the community has shown time and time again what a caring community we all live in.
