According to a report written by Arkansas State Police Trooper Brandon Warren, Nicole M. Decker, 42, of Blue Eye was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson southbound on Arkansas 23 at 4:03 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve at Carroll County Road 266. The motorcycle traveled across County Road 266 and off the right side of the road. The center of the motorcycle struck a tree and the motorcycle came to rest.

The report indicates that Decker was transported to Eureka Springs Hospital.

The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident, Walker reported.

Decker became the 177th person to die in an accident on Arkansas roadways in 2024.
