Peggy Lodewyks cuts the ribbon for newly renovated facilities housing the Holiday Island Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center at 6 Forest Park Drive, Suite C, in Holiday Island. The chamber held an open house and ribbon cutting Tuesday, April 16. Lodewyks, who is president of the Holiday Island Chamber of Commerce, said 72 people attended, touring the facilities, interacting with chamber members and enjoying refreshments. Mayor Dan Kees and the entire Holiday Island City Council were in attendance as well as several members of the Holiday Island Suburban Improvement District Board of Commissioners. Lodewyks said the chamber logged 148 volunteer hours in March.
