Fall, Halloween events planned across county

Several Fall Festival and Halloween events are planned across Carroll County over the next week. They include:

• The annual Zombie Crawl in Eureka Springs will begin at noon Saturday, Oct. 28 with vendors, music and food downtown. The parade will begin at 6 p.m.

• A Trunk or Treat will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office at 205 Hailey Road in Berryville. The event will have candy, hot dogs, chips and drinks and a raffle with lots of prizes. The raffle will include two kids bikes donated by Tyson Foods, and gifts and gift cards from various businesses in the county. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each or six for $5.

• Fall Fest at First Assembly of God Church on Highway 103 North in Green Forest from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29. The free event will include games and food.

• Green Forest High School Drama Club Fall Festival, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 30 at the Green Forest Park/Pavilion. Armbands are $5 and will include bouncy house, games, face painting and a fall photo backdrop. Concessions will be available.

• Castle, located at 800 Eureka Ave. in Berryville, will host a Trunk or Treat from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31.

• 1st Freewill Baptist Church on Freeman Switch Road in Berryville will host a Fall Festival beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31. The event is for all ages and will include a trunk or treat, face painting, hayride, games, s’mores, chili and soup and a photo booth.

• Church on the Hill in Berryville will be hosting a Fall Festival and Samaritan’s Feet Shoe Giveaway from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31. The free event will feature bouncy houses, games, food and candy, plus a shoe giveaway for the kids. The Church is located at 907 S. Main in Berryville.

• A Trunk or Treat will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Southern Heights Baptist Church on Highway 221 South in Berryville.

• The 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat and car/truck meet will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Sonic in Green Forest.

• Borkowski’s, located at 413 S. Springfield St. in Berryville, will have goodies for all aged kids and adults on Tuesday, Oct. 31. In addition, the movie “Coraline” will be shown at dark and attendees are encouraged to pull up a hay bale and watch the movie. This event is sponsored by Berryville Onstage.
