After a hiatus of nearly two years because of pandemic-related issues and precautions, St. James’ Episcopal Church of Eureka Springs will be conducting its 54th “Silver Tea,” an event that has ushered in the Christmas holiday season for over half a century at the Crescent Hotel.
The traditional and elegant “high tea” will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, in the Crystal Ballroom of The Crescent Hotel. The event is open to all, with admission at the door by donation.
Although St. James’ Church and congregation volunteers lead the organization of the event, the Silver Tea depends on the generosity of area-wide volunteers, organizations and sponsors for logistical assistance and fund-raising efforts.
Money raised by the event will be donated to an established and worthwhile charitable organization.
Past, recent recipients have included: ECHO Dental, Purple Flower, Back Our Kids, Cup of Love and Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge.
