ONGOING Library seeking books

In preparation for their fall book sale, the Friends of the Eureka Springs Carnegie Library are asking for donations of gently used books. Donations can be brought to the library annex media center during library operating hours. SATURDAY, OCT. 29 Trunk or Treat

Eureka Springs United Methodist Church, 195 Huntsville Road, is hosting a “Trunk or Treat,” and haunted house provided by the Eureka Springs Rotary Club Youth Interact, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct 29. All are invited. For more information, call the church at 479-253-8789.

FRIDAY, NOV. 4 Film series begins

The Eureka Springs Carnegie Library’s annual documentary film screening series begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 in the Library Annex meeting room at 192 Spring Street. The first documentary shown, “Room 237” analyzes Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of “The Shining,” and the people who believe they have succeeded in decoding the iconic film’s hidden messages and symbols.
