A Celebration of Life/ Memorial Service will occur in Spain Ranch located at 732 E. 116th Street, Jenks, Oklahoma on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 2-4 p.m.
Patsy Marlene Bootenhoff, born August 1, 1962, passed away on November 27, 2024 in Jenks, Oklahoma.
Marlene was preceded in death by her father, Charles Harry Fargo, on 1/25/24; her mother-in-law, Norma Bootenhoff and her brother, Charles Gregory (Greg) Fargo.
Marlene is survived by her mother, Patsy Wiley and husband Jack of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; her step-mother, Martha Fargo of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; her two sisters, Frances Eckman and husband Matthew of Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Paula Slechta and husband Donavan of Topeka, Kansas. Her loving husband, David Bootenhoff of Jenks, Oklahoma; children: Matt Bootenhoff and wife Anna of Dallas, Texas, and Brittany Hoehn and husband Jody of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Lorelai, Wells, Breccan and Addie. Father-in-law, Gene Bootenhoff of Oklahoma City. Nephews: Andrew McClung and wife Cora, Robert Mc Clung and wife Emily, Tristan Butler and Ryan Slechta; nieces: Sara Bloch, Gabi Bloch, Tayron Johnson and husband Keshun, Rachel Slechta and husband Brian, Ali Fargo and many great-nieces and nephews. As well as a host of friends and extended family and last but certainly not least, Ted Scates of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Marlene was born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. After graduating high school from Eureka Springs, Arkansas, she then returned to the Tulsa area. She owned and operated her family businesses, Rainguard of Tulsa and OK Railroad Signals.
Marlene was known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren. Being a grandmother was one of the greatest joys of her life! She also loved spending time in her beautiful greenhouse and she always had an answer to any plant question asked of her.
Marlene was beloved for her humor, her incredible generosity and her fabulous cooking. She was a very generous and kind soul and made everyone feel special. She will be greatly missed.
