Pictured are Carroll County Community Foundation Board treasurer Lona Noonan presenting the award to ESSA Executive Director Kelly McDonough. This grant will be used to support ESSA’s Young Artist Program, which partners with local K-12 schools to provide age-specific, collaborative and hands-on art and fine craft workshops for local students. The Young Artist Program offers a unique opportunity to experience a studio workshop environment with a professional artist in studio areas that are outside what the schools can normally support.
This program has grown from two to 11 classes per year. For more about ESSA’s Young Artist Program or to support the Young Artist Program Fund please visit the ESSA website at https:// essa-art.org/scholarships.
