Debra Lorraine Reid

     Reid

Debra Lorraine Reid, 69 years of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on August 11th, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Debra was born on December 30th, 1954, in Miami, Florida, to Donald R. Reid, an electrician and firefighter, and Sandy G. Logan Reid, a homemaker and artist.

Debra was a pioneer at a young age, having been a “line woman” for Southern Bell in a field predominantly led by men at that time. Never one to hesitate at a challenge, and, following her heart, Debra found her home in Eureka Springs and went back to school and graduated with her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2007. She was a strong advocate for mental health and was passionate about counseling people of all ages throughout her career. In 2018, she fulfilled her dream of opening her own practice and, as a mental health therapist, continued to counsel people in her community for many years.

Debra was most proud of her daughter, Tamaira Lanore Loveless, and her beautiful twin grandchildren, Ransom Elijah and Reine Noelle, whom she very fondly called “her twins”. Grandma Deb will always be remembered by them as “the greatest grandma in the world”. Debra is predeceased by her father, her mother, and her sister, Ellie Reid Fleegle.

She is survived by her daughter, Tamaira; son-inlaw, Brandon; and her grandchildren; her siblings, Donna G. Vernier (Steven), Dawn J. Jackson (John), Donald R. Reid (Cindy) and Dana S. Weseman (Walt); 11 nieces and nephews; her cherished extended family, Mary Jo, Renee, Sandy, Pat, Shea, Alyce, Linda and countless others; and her beloved puppies, Poppy and Maggie.

No services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Debra’s name to Circle of Life Hospice Home at Legacy Village, 120 NE Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, AR 72712.
