Eureka Springs School of the Arts (ESSA) received a mini grant of $1,723 from Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas for ESSA’s Health and Safety Project.
The project is designed to update and improve health and safety equipment on the ESSA campus and is part of an ongoing effort by the school to create a safe campus. ESSA staff members maintain certification through the American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED program conducted by the Eureka Springs Fire Department and have studio safety measures in all workshop spaces.
ESSA executive director Kelly Mc-Donough notes that “this grant supported the purchase of a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and a fully stocked medical first aid kit to expand the health and safety equipment at ESSA which is very important because of our growing enrollment and rural location. ESSA greatly appreciates the support of the Blue & You Foundation for a Heathier Arkansas.”
