Community Center hosts STEAM Summer Program

The Eureka Springs Community Centered recently partnered with Eureka Springs Public Schools to create a two-week STEAM Summer Program for Kids.

This camp included science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics educational enhancements and a whole lot of fun. In addition to classroom educational efforts, the kids also utilized the entire ESCC campus by exploring the art museum, planting in the green house, activities at the farmers market, and additionally adding movement breaks provided by ESCC instructors!

These camps give kids the chance to make new friends, learn new skills and interact with nature as they engage in physical, social, and educational activities.

“The success of this program could not have been possible without the community coming together in efforts for a memorable experience for these kids,” the community center said in a news release. “We’d like to give a shout out of gratitude to those who made this possible: “Eureka Springs Schools and staff, Museum of Eureka Springs Art, Eureka Springs Farmers Market, Kings River Produce, Eureka Springs Carnegie Public Library.”

The community also thanked the following specialty teachers: Jessica from Longview Studios 21, Zachary from Northwest Arkansas Aikido and Stefani from Visionary Art Studio.

“Thank you for investing your time, energy, and passion into our future leaders of Eureka Springs,” the community center news release said. “You provided them with the opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime!”
