The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow will present the third of its Screenwriters Series on Saturday, May 18, featuring filmmaker Raelyn Munneke, president of the Northwest Arkansas Screenwriters Collective.
The workshop, which will be held at WCDH at 515 Spring Street in Eureka Springs, will be Munneke’s first visit.
The Screenwriter Series will feature Munneke’s workshop “Intro to Screenwriting: The Practice of Structure” at 3 p.m., a dinner at 5 p.m., and a showing of five short films from the NWA Screenwriters Collective at 7 p.m..
As part of the workshop, Munneke will break down an Oscar-nominated script and consider its approach to structure to help attendees when common block happens. Following the dinner will be the showing of the five short films at Main Stage Creative Community Center at 67 North Main.
With a career that has spanned both documentary and narrative film, Munneke has produced series for ESPN and The Golf Channel and earned a Regional Mid-America Emmy nomination for her documentary about Northwest Arkansas, “Hog Town.”
“We are honored to host Ms. Munneke and present the work of these amazingly talented filmmakers in Northwest Arkansas,” said Nancy Paddock, WCDH workshop coordinator.
