Eureka Springs has been recognized in two categories by Arkansas Business and the Arkansas Municipal League in the annual Trendsetter City awards.
The city was named the winner in two categories, Diversity & Inclusion and Education/ Workforce Development for 2023. The city also was named an honorable mention winner in the Tourism/Creative Culture Development category.
“It is such an honor to be named a Trendsetter City once, let alone three times in one year,” Eureka Springs Mayor Butch Berry said. “These awards belong to our citizens who work closely with the city to constantly make Eureka Springs the best place possible for residents, our youth, and our visitors. We are particularly proud to be recognized two years in a row for Diversity and Inclusion.”
Arkansas Business partners with the Arkansas Municipal League each year to present the Trendsetter City awards, which “recognize exceptional initiatives underway in municipalities across the state,” according to Arkansas Business. Over the past 10 years, Eureka Springs has been honored with multiple awards in several categories.
The 2023 winners were selected by an external jury and will be recognized at the 2024 Municipal League Winter Conference, Jan. 10-12, 2024. The program is presented by Crews & Associates and sponsored by the Arkansas Municipal League, the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and the Associated Industries of Arkansas, and Crafton Tull.
