The Eureka Springs Community Center will hold its annual SIPtember fundraiser from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Eureka Springs Brewery at 96 Ridgeview Road in Eureka Springs. This year’s theme is “Jimmy Buffett Tribute Luau.”
The outdoor event offers the chance to try locally made beer, cider and wine, as well as hors d’oeuvres. There will be a silent and live auction, music and a costume competition, so dress up in your luau finest! Additionally, the event will feature a competition between Team Hula-gans, Team Coco- nuts and Team Margarita-villains for some fun prizes and a team trophy.
Doors open at 4 p.m., with the silent auction taking place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The costume contest, which is open to all attendees, starts at 5:45 p.m., and the live auction will be at 7 p.m. The teams face off in challenges from 5:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can show your team support with an additional donation in the name of your favorite team.
All proceeds from the event go toward community center programming and future projects. Executive Director Anna Smedley said she is looking forward to seeing everyone at the brewery.
“This is a big annual fundraiser and such a fun community event to attend,” Smedley said. “Come check out the teams, costumes and exciting silent auction items available as you sip on a delicious local craft beer or wine. Every dollar raised goes to support, build and grow the Eureka Springs Community Center.”
Overflow parking will be available at A Cup of Love Ministry just down the road, with a free shuttle to the event.
SIPtember is sponsored by Bare & Swett Insurance. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for ages 12-21 and free for children under 12. You can purchase tickets online at www.reserveeureka. com/attractions/siptember, at the community center or at the door on the day of the event.
