Eureka Springs Hospital is closing its family clinic effective Thursday, June 29.
CEO Angie Shaw said the clinic was established last year to meet a need in the community for primary care, operating at 25 Norris St. across from the hospital.
“We haven’t seen as much need for the clinic as we expected,” Shaw said. “Without patients using the clinic, we can’t keep it open.”
The hospital continues to offer 24/7 emergency room services, inpatient and swing bed services. The hospital also offers several outpatient services, including colonoscopies, lab tests, radiology, occupational therapy, speech therapy and physical therapy.
“We want to thank the community for continuing to support us,” Shaw said. “Our patients are the reason we are here, and we never forget that.”
