Lady Highlanders junior Avery Meyer finished third in the girls discus competition at the 2A-1 district track and field championships on Wednesday, April 26, at Eureka Springs High School.

Meyer threw the discus 75 feet, 2 inches.

Meyer also placed 10th in the shot put (20-1.5).

Eureka Springs sophomore Zoie Piepho took sixth place in the shot put (21-3) and 10th in the discus (38-11).

Freshman Mars Clubbs finished 11th in both the discus (38-1) and the shot put (18-5.5).

The Lady Highlanders finished in a tie with Life Way Christian for fifth place in the team standings.
