The Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation Commission has officially released details about a community celebration scheduled at Lake Leatherwood Park to commemorate Independence Day.
The event, titled “Lake Leatherwood Jamboreeka” will be held from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, at the ballfields located at Lake Leatherwood, 1303 County Road 204.
Admission to the event is free, but donations to the parks department will be accepted.
The announcement says the event will include live music from the bands “Sprungbilly” and “Los Roscoes,” food trucks, beer tents, nature-based vendors, a dunking-booth tank, water slide, face painting, a nature hike and a raffle for an E-bike.
With limited parking, a free trolley service will be running from the Planer Hill parking lot, the Transit Visitor Center and all “Purple” route stops every 25 to 35 minutes to and from the park.
