Bible Reading Marathon to be held May 6

The 14th Annual Carroll County Bible Reading Marathon will take place on Saturday, May 6. Simultaneous reading of the Bible will take place at 10-plus locations in every city around the county. Many churches will be set up for this eight-hour marathon.

The “More Excellent Way” is continuing to allow people of all ages to sign up at a location close to them. A yard sign will be at the designated locations.

Locations include Edna’s Café, 312 E. Main, Green Forest; Thorncrown Chapel, 12968 US 62, Eureka Springs; Passion Play Church in the Grove, 935 Passion Play Road, Eureka Springs; Valley View Church, 6413 Highway 62 West, Eureka Springs; New Life Church, 32 Wilson Drive, Berryville; Living Faith Church, 2612 Highway 221 North, Berryville; Kings River Church, 769 Highway 221 North, Berryville; Full Faith Ministries, 70900 Highway 23 North, Holiday Island; Templo Emmanuel, 10813 US 62, Green Forest; and Soul Purpose Ministries, 801 Springfield, Green Forest.

Most locations will host the event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Readers, individuals, families and groups can sign up at the website for Bible Reading Ministry International at www.BibleReadingMarathon. org under the link “Sign up to read at location for Carroll County BRM.”

The whole Bible has been divided into 80 scripture slots that take one person about an hour to read aloud. However, groups can come and read for as little or as long as they are able. Just sign up for more than one hour and come read.
