The Bridge of Love returns to Eureka Springs from Thursday, May 12, to Sunday, May 14, 2023 as families (local and tourists) come to downtown Eureka Springs to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend.
It is a heartwarming time on the Bridge, often mixed with tearful moments, as children, parents, grandparents and friends tie flowers to the Bridge. Many place flowers in memory of loved ones, while others celebrate life and love, near and far.
This year the Bridge of Love is sponsored by the Eureka Springs Preservation Society, Eureka Springs Arts Council and Eureka & Company Floral Designs. As a part of the monthlong May Festival of the Arts, the Bridge will be in full bloom to “Feed The Soul.”
This living floral art installation is being coordinated by the Krewe du Kork’s Ilene Powell, Sandy Royce Martin and Teresa Dickens Kolb of Eureka & Company Floral Designs, as well as many citizens of Eureka Springs.
At 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11, the flower decorating will begin. All are invited to “Come Tie One On.”
Thanks also go out to John Cross for permitting the use of the pedestrian bridge for the Bridge of Love. Organizers hope everyone can take some time to enjoy the Bridge of Love and share stories of the women in the their lives.
If you love women — mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, cousins and friends — bring fresh flowers (only) to fasten to the Bridge of Love! The Bridge of Love is the pedestrian/ air bridge crossing over Spring and Main streets in downtown Eureka Springs.
