Eureka Springs Hospital and Eureka Springs Community Center are partnering on the annual Earth Day Celebration, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 21, at the community center at 44 Kingshighway in Eureka Springs.
The event will feature learning opportunities for the whole family, including the return of the Mega Brain and information on plants, the environment and overall community health. Provided by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Stroke Program, the Mega Brain offers a guided tour of the outside and inside of the brain.
“It’s a great way to learn about the signs and symptoms of a stroke, as well as other conditions and diseases of the brain,” said Samantha Jones, marketing director for Eureka Springs Hospital. “Our hospital loves hosting these educational events for everyone, but it’s especially fun to see the kids’ faces light up when they see the Mega Brain for the first time.”
Mayor Butch Berry will read the Earth Day Proclamation at 10:30 a.m., and people of all ages are invited to stop by during the event.
“We are really excited to be partnering with Eureka Springs Hospital again this year for our Earth Day Celebration and cannot wait to have all of the kids on our campus,” said Anna Smedley, executive director of the Eureka Springs Community Center.
