Eureka Springs senior Dylan Johnson scored 57 points to lead the Highlanders to an 88-51 road victory over Haas Hall Rogers on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
“That was a pretty big deal,” Eureka Springs coach Brian Rambo said. “I don’t know if that’s the school record or not but if it’s not, the guy that beat that was a stud. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that in a high school basketball game.”
Johnson made eight three-pointers but scored all over the court, Rambo said.
“It felt like he didn’t miss,” Rambo said. “It was crazy to watch.”
Junior Michael Lester added 13 points and senior Shane Holloway scored 10 for Eureka Springs.
On Friday, Feb. 10, the Highlanders beat Life Way Christian behind 17 points from Lester, 14 from Holloway and 13 from Johnson.
