Berryville officer honored by AG

Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge honored Berryville police officer Pauline Knott as the Carroll County Law Enforcement Officer of the Year at the 20th annual Officer of the Year awards and recognition luncheon at the Benton Event Center on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

“Patrolwoman Knott is a tireless servant who works to protect Arkansans,” Rutledge said. “I could not be more grateful for Knott’s dedication as a public servant in Carroll County.”

Berryville Police Chief Robert Bartos said he nominated Knott for the award.

“I nominated her just for her performance,” Bartos said. “She’s a real good officer. She does a real good job and has a really enthusiastic attitude. She’s just a good, hard charger. And we’ve had the issues with the fentanyl overdoses. We’ve got Narcan for officers and this past year she saved three individuals on three different instances with Narcan. So she’s a real good job there.”
