Just in time for the holidays, a taste of New York City is coming to the Eureka Springs High School Auditorium Dec. 9-10.
The Eureka Springs High School Drama/Choir, also known as “ES Tableaux,” will be presenting the Broadway Junior version of an all-time favorite, Annie, featuring 30 drama/choir students, under the joint direction of Rick and Donesa Mann.
The cast will sing, dance, and act their way into your heart as Annie, Jr. comes alive on stage.
Holiday music pre-shows will be presented both days by Donesa Mann’s Eureka Springs Middle School’s onstage choirs, grades 5-8. The admission cost of $10 per adult and $5 per student. One ticket purchase may be used either or both nights and Eureka Springs Schools staff and students are admitted free.
Annie, Jr. is a 90-minute abbreviated Music Theatre International musical based on the comic strip, “Little Orphan Annie.” The Junior version follows closely to the original Broadway stage musical, Annie.
Annie will be played by Baylee Harris and Madison Partee. Conner Hensen will play Warbucks. Grace Farrell (Warbucks’ secretary) will be played by Hannah Kelly and Emma Hutchens. Miss Hannigan (Joa Murray, Amber Kirk), Rooster Hannigan (Cesar Rincon-Estrada), and Lilly St. Regis (Peyton Gordon, Joa Murray) will try to weasel Warbucks out of $50,000.
Sam Jackson will play Sandy, Annie’s new-found canine friend. Theater/choir students will round-out the orphan and NYC cast and production team.
Tickets may be purchased on the Eureka Springs Schools’ online store and will also be sold at the door.
