The Eureka Springs Cemetery Commission is hosting a Headstone Cleaning Day on Saturday, Oct. 8. Volunteers are welcome any time between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Work will involve cleaning headstones in a manner approved by the National Park Service.
Join the effort to remove lichen, fungus and grime from headstones in the cemetery and/or learn how to properly care for your own family grave markers. Bring rubber gloves if you have them, but if not, they will be supplied. After you have attended the training to properly clean headstones, you are welcome to clean any time convenient to after checking in with the groundskeeper for proper supplies.
Snacks will be provided. Please bring your own sack lunch.
