Clear Spring School supporters are building their organizational endowment brick by brick. Their “Building a Path to the Future” fundraiser has already added nearly $5,200 into the long-standing Clear Spring School Endowment – creating a stronger endowment that will give back in support of the school forever.
Chris Ritthaler, president of the Clear Spring School Board of Trustees, deposited the first of what he and the board hope to be many donations in support of the upcoming Clear Spring School’s 50th anniversary celebration. Bricks purchased with the donor’s name engraved on them will be placed within new pathways at the Phyllis Poe Handson Learning Center. The center houses the wood shop, art studios, sewing studio and maker-space.
“Funds and endowments held at the Community Foundation allow nonprofits to build a permanent source of financial support as well as accept complicated gifts such as stocks, property, IRA charitable rollover donations, planned gifts, and so much more,” said Janell Robertson, executive director of the Carroll County Community Foundation. “Clear Spring’s endowment, created in 2003, continues to convey their commitment to stability, growth, and permanence in this community – which is evident by the fact that the school turns 50 in 2024.”
