Eureka Springs Hospital Clinic is temporarily closing effective Thursday, June 30.
The urgent care clinic opened on March 1, 2022, with the intent to offer primary care as well. While searching for a primary care physician, the clinic offered urgent care services three days a week.
Hospital CEO Angie Shaw said the clinic is closing because of staffing issues, but she hopes the closure isn’t permanent.
“We hope this will only be a temporary situation until we are able to locate a physician who wants to operate a family practice clinic offering primary care services,” Shaw said. “Primary care is a major need in our community, and we continue working to meet that need.”
Those interested in joining the clinic team as a primary care physician may apply online at www.EurekaSpringsHospital.com. Shaw encouraged everyone to spread the word about the opening.
“Our little community has a big heart, and we are thankful for all your support over the years,” Shaw said. “Thank you for being patient as we search for a primary care physician.”
