Firefighters from several local departments spent three hours Sunday fighting a blaze at a local tavern.
Eureka Springs fire marshal James Cowan said Eureka Springs firefighters received a call around 10 a.m. Sunday of flames at Jim’s Saloon, located east of town on U.S. Highway 62. According to Cowan, eight Eureka Springs firefighters were dispatched to the scene, where they were joined by firefighters from Berryville, Holiday Island and Inspiration Point.
The fire was under control by 1 p.m., Cowan said, and the structure was not a complete loss.
No one was injured, Cowan said, and the cause of the fire had not been determined as of Monday morning.
