Suzanne Williams, historic preservation chair for Abendschone Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, received an award for 30-plus years of volunteer work in historic preservation. Williams researched and published her book Nebraska and the CCC: Young Men at Their Best, preserving the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps in Nebraska. Other volunteer work in Eureka Springs include her research for the Eureka Springs Cemetery, her work at the Eureka Springs Historic Museum and her research for the annual historic calendars published by a local bank.
